Paintball for Fun!
Quote
To love means loving the unlovable. To forgive means pardoning the unpardonable. Faith means believing the unbelievable. Hope means hoping when everything seems hopeless.
-----------------------
Gilbert K. Chesterton
1874-1936, British Author
-----------------------
The natural human mind tells that we can only love those which "deserve" love. It tells us that we can only forgive things that only hurt us a little. And the human mind tells us that hope will only get us so far.
The call of love is that it loves the unlovable. After all; God loves us and has sent His only Son to die for our sins. It does not get any more unlovable than us. You can believe that. You can have faith in that. You don't need to see it physically to believe it. And hope; hope keeps us moving forward. It is often the notion that there has GOT to be something better for us than our current status.
Keep love, faith, and hope alive!

Fall seven times and stand up eight.
Japanese Proverb
-------------------------
This is a great quote to take with you through life. Because life sure has its moments when it beats you up. You have to develop a thick skin for the unexpected valleys of life.
You stay down too long and you just might get trampled on. All of us fall at times. The ones that make are the ones that get up no matter how often they may fall. And not only that, but learn from the falling.
Arise, and stand.

We must become the change we want to see.
Mahatma Gandhi
-----------------------------
It is a common thing for us to expect the change that we want to come from an external source. we expect another to put in the labor and sweat to make the desired change happen. We often never look in the mirror and say, "I expect the change that you want to start with you."
The change we desire should start with our own self. After all, we are the only one we can really control. So, if you desire change in your world be the instrument to start that change in motion. Don't just dream about it, but be about it. Change. You make it happen in your own lifre first. Then, maybe the snowball affect will take place. Others will see the change in and through you, and see that they too must get on board with it.

Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up
Thomas Alva Edison
-------------------------------------
The difference between achieving our goals, or not is often in direct relation to our endurance in chasing that dream. We often set a timetable that we believe our goal should be reached. That is a good thing to do. The problem is that we often miscalculate how long it will take, and labor intensity needed. When you decide to set aside a dream or goal make sure that you have exhausted all avenues to achieve it. Then in looking back you will know that you gave it your all.

The journey is the reward.
Chinese Proverb
Sayings of Chinese Origin
---------------------------------
Many people miss out on a lot of life because they look past the journey. We all come up with many goals in life. It could be that we want to become managers at work, own a company. It could have something to do with our weight, or health. It could be that we have some family goals.
Whatever the goal is, we usually can't wait to achieve it. We forget the gift of the journey. We don't usually look at it as a gift, but rather as a hardship to get us where we want to be. In so doing we miss out on many special moments in life. We get so focused on the finish line that we miss the great moments of the steps that it takes to get there. It is unfortunate.
There are some God given moments hidden in the journey that should be recognized as "rewards". It is in the journey that people grow closer together. It is in the hardships the love is truly shown.
Don't let the journeys of life pass you buy. Embrace them and enjoy them.

You can never get enough of the things you don't need, because the things you don't need can never satisfy.
Marvin J. Ashton
---------------------------
I think this quote is perfectly stated. I never really thought about it from that angle. But, in reading the quote I find that it makes perfect sense.
There is no bottom to the bag of our desire for things we truly do not need. It really is funny the way we, as humans, are. There can be something right in front of for years that we have overlooked the whole time. But, let someone come tell us that we can no longer have access to that thing. ALL OF THE SUDDEN we can live without that thing.
Our desires are bent towards that which we can't have, and that which we can't obtain. One more interesting example. Have you ever had a person to like you and be interested in you romantically, who you were not interested in. They made it known to you that they were interested, but you just did want them. But, the day came when they expressed that they were no long interested. On that day, at that moment, that person became so attractive in your eyes.
Funny things don't you think. And interesting. hmmm.

Words may show a man's wit but actions his meaning.
Benjamin Franklin
1706-1790, American Scientist, Publisher, Diplomat
----------------------------
Let me tell you something a man, a father figure told me. We were at a gas station one time. He drove. He got out and proceeded to fill the car up with gas. I sat in the passenger seat, and said, "I will pump the gas." I made no movement to open the door and get out. He told me that it was not necessary. I stayed in the car.
When he got in, he taught me a lesson I have not forgotten, and will never forget. This happened about 15 years ago. He told me that if I REALLY wanted help by pumping the gas I would not have just asked about it, but would have DONE something. I would have gotten out of the car and walked over to the pump, and put the gas in the car.
By the fact that I did not do that, he said, it showed him that I was not sincere in my desire to actually pump the gas, as I "pretended' that I wanted to do.
I tell you this because that same principle applies to life. Don't just talk about it; be about it. Like Nike said, "Just Do it".

The elevator to success is out of order. You'll have to use the stairs... one step at a time.
Joe Girard
American Sales Trainer, Author, Lecturer
--------------------------------------
The essence of this quote is one that took me a while to grasp. I always thought my goals, and dreams would and should come to me automatically and with very little effort. I thought "the elevator" was my transport.
I have finally come to realize that for most of us there is no elevator waiting to take us to the success we desire. Instead there are "stair" steps waiting to move us up one step at a time by sweat equity, tears, perserverence, and good old fashion hard work.
So I encourage all of you to realize that fact. Your dreams and goals are not likely to be come by the space of a night. If they do then it is quite possible that your dreams and goals are not set very high. Tend to your path everyday, step by step, and watch progress be made. When knocked down, get back up and take another step forward. In time you will see the possibility of your dreams and goals draw closer and closer.

happiness depends upon ourselves
aristotle aristotle
---------------------------
There are a lot of people that really need to come to an understanding of this quote. We often give over our happiness to an external source. It could be a job, and spouse or significant other. "If I only had _____________ I could be happy." We say. If only _____________ would do ___________." We also say.
We need to learn to take our own happiness out of the hands of others and rest it on our own shoulders. We have a better chance of actually achieving a life of happiness if we do that.
You see, when we place our happiness in another we are sure to be let down. We are sure to be emotional rollercoasters because our happiness is subject to change at any moment depending upon what another does or does do.
It is best to seek relationships not to make us happy, but instead to share in the happiness that we already have.

Custom Made T-Shirts
Summer is upon us. With summer comes a change in our wordrobe. We go from wearing pants to wearing shorts. We transition from sweaters to t-shirts. Why not be unique, and go from from T-shirts to custom t-shirts.
I have found a website that does just that. They can help you be original. They can provide you with customized t-shirts for your summer attire. Custom T-Shirts can help you with t-shirts for you alone, or for the group you belong to. The exciting thing is that you can visit the website and have all your t-shirt needs met. The one stop shopping center.
I have a couple of ideas about how I would have my t-shirts made. I would customize my t-shirts with bible scriptures, and others with business advertisement. What would you customize your t-shirts with?
The T-Shirts Store has a wide variety of items to customize. They also have sweat shirts, polo shirts, custom hats, womens appearal, baby clothes, jerseys, teen appearal, wedding favors, banners, posters, and more. Visit the website and see what they can customize specifically for you!

Wisdom is the quality that keeps you from getting into situations where you need it.
Doug Larson
-------------------------------------
We often don't fix a situation that needs to be fixed until we have no other choice. We don't do what we should have done long ago, until our backs are up against the wall, and there is only one way to go to get out of the mess we created or let happen by our previous indecision. We call it hindsight. We can look back and see what we SHOULD have or COULD have done.
True wisdom is when we can look forward, and see what WILL happen if we do this or that. And not only see what will happen, but utilize the restraint and/or inner strength to make the right decisions. Decisions that can often be painful at the time, but decisions that must be made.
Wisdom speaks before things get out of hand to keep it from happening.
Quote
We do not quit playing because we grow old, we grow old because we quit playing.
Oliver Wendell Holmes
--------------------------------------
This is good advise to take with you for those of you who are in your twenties. This is advice that might hit home for those of you who are in your thirties and upward.
Life does not end as we age. Sure it enters new seasons, but that does not mean that we let the flavor of life fade. We do not set aside the passion by which we once lived. We do not cast the dreams aside as though they can no longer be achieved because we are a few years older than when we birthed the dreams. Instead, we embrace them still, and continue moving forward. We inch ever so closer to those dreams, to make them a reality.
As I think about it, I do not EVER want to be in such a low state where dreaming seems useless......Play on!

Quote
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
Martin Luther King Jr.
1929-1968, American Black Leader, Nobel Prize Winner
--------------------------------------
We often judge ourself in the wrong light. We usually use the good times in life to measure our self. What's wrong with that you say? Good question. In good times there is no opposition. There is no crossroads to present us with the right or wrong way. (there is but it is just in a different way). The pressure is not as pressing in the good times.
It is in times of controversy that we really get to know ourselves. It is at those times when the crossroads appear. It is at those times that we can get desperate. Suddenly, the wrong does not seem so wrong. We make cutting corners seems like the long road. Our mind plays games with us. Or should I say, we play games with our mind. It is in the times of controversy that we find ways to justify ill acts. We lower our standard.
But, conversely, it is at the times of controvery that great gains are made. It is at those times the people come together. In the face of lack, abundance is found. In the face of hate, love is seen. In the face of poverty, true wealth can be discovered. In the face of death, true life is found.
Measure yourself against your times of controversy, lack, pressure, trials, tribulations, and find out what you come up with about yourself then.

Quote
The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
Nelson Mandela
South African Statesman - b 1918 - Nobel Prize Winner 1993
-----------------------------------------
Everyday life presents so many opportunities to fail or succeed. Each of us has fallen prey to both. The one, success, is desired. The other, falling (failure), is not desired. Falling is not always as bad as it may seem. We learn many valuable lessons in falling. The least of which is not the lesson that we need to rise.
Falling is not always bad. But staying down is. If you have fallen, make it a point to rise again. Those successful people that you admire are not people that have not fallen. They are people that have risen after the fall; often over and over and over again. I have heard it said that failure leads to success.
Don't feel bad everytime you fall. But just know that you must rise, dust yourself off, and continue down the road. There will you find success.

I've missed over 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot . . . and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
Michael Jordan
----------------------------------
The sad thing about success is that most people only send the end result; success. They do not see all the sweat and tears that got a person to the desired result. Michael Jordan was not born with a basketball in his hands. He developed an extraordinary will to succeed. That will propelled him to do the extra work necessary to achieve what his mind showed him could be his. When many of us were sleep, or watching T.V Mike was working on his game.
I like what he said about his failures. It is not as if he succeeded from day one. He has had his share of failures. But he pushed through them. He got up, dusted his self off, and kept going. He worked harder, and harder. Then people started to notice him. They noticed his success. They noticed what the countless hours in the gym got him. Made jump shots, slam dunks, defensive stops were only the results of silent days and nights in the gym with no one else around. What he did in private revealed itself in public. We did not see the private times though. You want success? There will be a lot of private times before the public ever cheers. Ask Mike. He'll tell you.

Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose wisely.
Karen Kaiser Clark
---------------------------------------------
It seems that life and change are running mates because there is always change in life. It seems that those who do not like change have a hard time with life. We are always saying, "remember when it was like...........". We don't really like change. As soon as we get used to the way things are....they change. A new learning process comes into play.
Each day brings new experiences and thus new changes to adapt to and overcome. One would hope that as we gain experience in change we can choose to learn from each experience, and grow from it rather than view it as a set back. The choice is ours.
